Hi Emi, nice to meet you. How did you start your own label?
Nice to meet you! I've always wanted to launch my own label, and I've been preparing while working for various labels. After the dissolution of the brand I was working for, I started with a patterner of the same brand.
FETICO’s motto is ‘The figure, Feminnine’. How do you define being ‘feminnine’? What kind of femininity do you want to highlight through FETICO?
I like the female body and think that any type of body (skinny or glamours) is beautiful. FETICO is inspired by the classic style that emphasizes formative beauty of women, but we also aim to reconstruct our own aesthetic sense and perspective. I’d like to create a unique and fresh look of women by combining conflicting elements.
What’s the concept of the new collection?
Although I always started without a clear concept ... (I was greatly influenced by artists such as Hans Bellmer, Barbara Hepworth and Oskar Schlemmer), I would say - A voluminous silhouette like Venus. Unbalanced lightness brought about by an unexpected space. Complex, monotonous, delicate nuances of lines.
