Emma and Laura, you two had met at Saint Martin’s master course, what made you decide to work together? What do you think the biggest synergy is while working?

We decided to work together because our work was always made so much stronger and richer by the other persons point of view. We also have very complementing strengths and interests so our partnership has always worked in a very balanced way. We are just creatively very in sync, we share a very strong idea of the aesthetic of the brand and we have never strayed away from our vision.

How did you actually start your label after graduating?

We started through releasing our first book with Charlotte Wales called Kukeri and at the same time also delivered our first capsule collection to Matchesfashion. That took about a year after we graduated.

We cannot possibly skip to talk about your passion for the skirts, When did your love for skirts begin? And what is the biggest charm that skirts have?

We have always been skirt wearers! We love skirts, Laura collects kilts and Emma collects pleated Bulgarian skirts. We love how versatile skirts can be, they can be work in so many different ways and kilts in particular are voluminous and beautiful but also tough and a bit hard.
